Stop-and-go streets wear brakes and suspension
Everyday driving on busy surface streets such as Van Nuys Boulevard and San Fernando Road means frequent stops and starts. Over time that wears brake pads and rotors, and rough pavement and speed bumps can wear suspension parts.
Describe the clunk, the pull or the squeal
A clunk over bumps, a pull when you brake, or uneven tire wear can each have different causes. Tell the shop what you notice and when, and ask for the findings and an estimate before you authorize repairs.
